Sky Vega is a young woman possessing multi-layered creative abilities. She works primarily in entertainment and the visual arts and has garnered a variety of accolades across these platforms. The polymath is a published musician, award winning artist, award nominated celebrity special effects makeup artist, published children's book illustrator, entrepreneur and the owner of an online retail shop Pittaway Art.

As a descendant of generations of notable artistic lineage, Sky exhibited creative leanings from her earliest years through drawing, singing, songwriting, creative writing and ballet.

Sky was offered a scholarship to N.S.A. (South Africa's premiere school for Art, Dance, Drama and Music) after spending a year at the prestigious academic institution Parktown High School for Girls. She passed the next four years laboring at their comprehensive fine arts curriculum. Sculpture, pottery, design, painting, graphic art, drawing, history of art and academics were all part of the daily drill. Next Sky attended college at A.K.T.O. School of Art & Design in Athens, learning Computer Graphic Animation & Multi-Media. She also studied music at the Daphni Conservatoire.

In the visual arts arena, Sky has exhibited her works informally since age 16. Her first solo painting show was hosted by the Hellenic Pensioners Society at age 19. Taking time in the trenches, Sky She was employed as a studio manager for renowned artist "Takis Moraitis." Later, she acted as his International Liaise in Dubai upon his attempt to break the record for the worlds longest painting, with Medicine San Frontiers. Next, Sky worked as a graphic artist and oversaw the printing process at "New Europe" Balkan Press. She also worked as a graphic artist making video cover layouts for a time. Following this, Sky served at Waters And Colors Art Gallery in South Beach. At first as an art consultant, then in Jamaica as an art auctioneer. In 2007 The School of Visual Arts featured her work with a two-week long exhibition. In 2015 Sky was named the winner of the BRIC Arts Media Viewers Choice Award, for her sculptural prosthetic work “Geode.”

Under the auspices of a budding music development deal with Universal Records, Sky undertook vocal coaching, songwriting and studio recordings with a girl band. Ultimately she went on to tour, record and release music independently. The ASCAP member self-publishes and her songs have been play-listed at over 76 radio stations internationally. Sky has performed at the European Rock Festival at Lekavitos Amphitheater in Greece, at the Goombay Festival in Miami, headlined the Hard Rock Cafe in Germany and graced a marquee at Times Squares attraction "Times Scare." She has played at over 2000 venues and festivals world-wide, both solo and with her pop-rock group  The Sky Band. They have played on the same bill as The Black Eyed Peas, Cee-Lo Green, White Lion and Ritchie Blackmore, among others. Her music videos have been broadcast on over 76 television stations, reaching London, Canada, South Africa and Across the USA. She has been profiled and featured in multiple publications. Over the course of her music career, Sky has been sponsored by various brands such as Rockstar Energy Drink, Heineken and many others. She has also been selected to participate in campaigns for Dodge automobiles and Microsoft.

On the heels of Sky's debut album "The Dawn Of A New Era" came her single "Keep It Hot." Following this, the album "Demonstration." Then an EP single, "Prayer." Now Sky is working on new material for an album titled "Aerial Bodies." Sky has worked as a vocal coach and supervisor on the album Snowblind, as well as a session vocalist, performed vocals, guitar and assisted production on the single "Angels Christmas Rock" and rapped on the single "Callin' It." Although rarely participating in live appearances currently, Sky has shifted focus to sharing her extensive song catalog as a songwriter. More about Sky's music here.

After relocating to New York, Sky studied Special Effects Makeup at the School of Visual Arts. The self proclaimed "forever student" fine-tuned her lab skills at New York's highly regarded career school the Makeup Designory. Her credits include working as the Department Head on many TV shows, shorts, music videos and feature films including producing molds and life-casting for The Hobbit Trilogy. She has worked on a slew of celebrity clients such as CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper, Singer P!NK and TV personality Dr. Oz, to name a few. Sky has been nominated in the category of "Best Make-Up Effects" for her work on "The Crimson Mask. She spearheads her business Sky Vega Special Effects Makeup staffing projects according to their need. 

Sky returned to the School of Visual Arts, adding InDesign to her tool-belt, then began creating children's books under the name "Sky Tots." Her illustrations and graphic design work can be seen in "When Freedom Came", "Bugs On Toast" and "The Adventures Of Detective Hamhock" written by by Arama Christiana.

A natural extension, supporting these books, has become stop-motion animation for Sky. This medium enables her to combine her music, art, makeup and digital practices together. Her first work is titled "I Shine."

She has taken on multiple conceptual art photography and videos projects for fellow artists, musicians and creators alike offering her unique perspective in digital media and creative concepts.

In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Sky is a licensed instructor in accordance with NYSED Regulation 126.6(f). She has been both an invited speaker and taught make-up and special effects classes for five years at her alma mater M.U.D. Her art, sfx and creative costuming sessions have also been offered at Trilok Fusion Arts Centre, Abracadabra Superstore and Broadway Fantasy Camp. Additionally, she provides cultural workshops to private clientele.

Sky continues to operate productivity as a working multi-disciplinary teaching artist, based in New York City.
